First off , I hope you had an amazing Christmas and that you’re still enjoying the festivities!

But… 2019 is literal days away!!!! 😮


Okay that was a touch dramatic, but it’s true.

We’re nearly entering a brand new year and I just LOVE the feelings of possibilities and motivation a new year can bring.

It’s like anything’s possible. Goals can be reached, dreams made reality, a fresh start!

So I say let’s capitalize on those “anything’s possible” feelings! Let’s take advantage of all this motivation we’re feeling and get 2019 off to an amazing start.

In fact let’s make the whole of 2019 incredible by YOU reaching your health and weight loss goals! 💪

In this two part series (the second post will be on the 2nd January!) I’m going to help you lay the foundations to actually making your health and weight loss goals your reality.

  • In this post I’m going to help you create your why, the secret weapon to ensuring that that new year “anything’s possible” motivation sticks with you.
  • In part two, next week’s post, I’m going to help you create a plan of action to make reaching your goals as easy as 1, 2, 3…

Your Why

This is something I’ve spoken about with you guys before, but I got so many positive replies I knew I just had to talk about it again!

And what could be a better time than at the start of a new year!

Because losing weight is a long, hard journey and I know I’ve lost my motivation more times than I can count.

We see those incredible before and after photos and forget that it took that person months or even years to get there.

Months and months of hard work, discipline and self-control.

Doesn’t sound fun, does it?

And even though the keto diet is delicious and works so well, having to keep working hard and being disciplined for that amount of time is draining.

Eventually, and we’ve all had this thought at one point or another, you just think “I can’t be bothered anymore, it’s too hard, reaching my weight loss goals just isn’t worth it.”

So how do some people keep going?

How did I keep going?

How can you make sure your motivation loss is only a temporary blip, and won’t stop you from reaching your weight loss goals?

You need to know your why.

Why you wanted to lose weight in the first place.

Why it’s all worth the effort?

Why reaching your weight loss goal is so important to you?

And I’m going to help you do that.

Today I’m going to help you create a weight loss vision (trust me it works, this isn’t all woo-woo, spooky wooky stuff, so don’t worry) and how to use it.

If you actually commit to this it will probably make the difference between reaching your weight loss goals or giving up…

So let’s create your weight loss vision! 😎

It’s super easy to do, you just need a pen and some paper, then you just answer the following questions. Give as much detail as possible, there should be at the very least five sentences to answer each question.

  • Question One: Why do you want to lose weight?
  • Question Two: Once you’ve lost the weight, how will you feel about your body?
  • Question Three: Once you’ve lost the weight, how do you feel your life be different?
  • Question Four: Talk about your before and after, what were you and your life like before you started losing weight, what will you and your life be like after you’ve lost weight?
  • Question Five: What’s the biggest thing you are looking forward to about reaching your goal weight?
  • Question Six: Describe how a typical day will look once you’ve reached your weight loss goals…

I know some of those questions seems like the answers would overlap but try and answer them as in depth as possible. You need to really understand how much your life will change for the better once you’ve reached this goal!

The next step!

Now you’ve written out your answers, every morning you’re going to reread them so you can reconnect with why you are working towards this goal.

If you’re someone who responds better to audio then read the questions and answers out to yourself. Or if you really want you could rewrite the answers out each day, and further journal on them.

The point is to go over your why as often as possible, ideally every single day.

It will only take five minutes, but it could be the five minutes that gives you the power to change your life.
