Spicy Jalapeno Keto Margarita

There is nothing more refreshing than sipping on a margarita, outside, on a summer’s day.  If you are like me & you tend to order the ‘skinny’ or sugar-free version of margs to avoid the mountain of sugar in restaurant syrups, this recipe is for you. Refreshing, delicious & with a nice kick, you’ll be making my skinny margarita all summer long!

Spicy Jalapeno Keto Margarita

Ingredients

2 fluid ounces tequila
1 fluid ounce lime juice
2 1/2 tsp granulated Swerve® (optional)
2 lime wedges
1 jalapeno, thinly sliced
2 fluid ounces lemon-lime-flavored sparkling water (I use La Croix®)
3 cups ice
1 tablespoon coarse salt
2 tsp chili powder

What To Do
In a shallow dish, combine the salt and chili powder; set aside.

Muddle the jalapeno in a container. if you want super spicy margaritas. If you want something milder, just add the jalapeno slices to the margaritas once they are made.

Combine the tequila, lime juice, sweetener, jalapeno, and ice in a shaker and shake well.

If you want a salted rim, run a wedge of lime around the outside of the glass before filling, and dip in the combined plate of salt.

Strain the margarita mix into your glass and top with a lemon wedge and jalapeno slice. Now just sit back and enjoy!
