Guide to Fast Food on Keto


When possible, I try to avoid fast food. I have this thought process that fast food is bad for you, should only be a treat, etc. So when I’m out & in a bind for something to eat, I go through a major guilt trip if I have to turn to fast food. (Please tell me I’m not the only one!)

These last minute trips to the McDonald’s, in addition to making me feel guilty, could also throw me out of ketosis & interrupt my diet success.

After doing major research, I realized that there are many on-the-go or fast food options that are Keto friendly. Surprising, I know!

I am a cookie dough addict. And I treat all doughs equally – sugar, snickerdoodle, chocolate chip, gingersnap – you name it and I have a special place for that dough in my heart.

But shockingly, the sugary mixture is not particularly healthy and definitely has no place in a low carb keto diet. Well, that was until I had to feed the need and tried these delicious chocolate chip keto dough bombs!

Keto fat bombs are small treats that are high in fat and low in carbs (so, literally a fat bomb). These little bombs are awesome when you need something sweet, but also work as a quick breakfast, as a yummy snack, a pre or postworkout snack, or really whenever you need something quick & keto throughout the day.

I’m not a big drinker at all, but I do love to indulge in a beer or a glass of wine with dinner or out with friends. But indulging and diet don’t really seem to go together usually. On a low carb keto diet you can absolutely enjoy wine, beer & mixed drinks as long as they are low in carbs and fit in your macros.

Also, even though alcohol can fit into your diet, don’t go crazy with it. Speaking from experience too much alcohol can lead to the drunken (no diet) munchies or a hangover greasy fast food extravaganza.
