Out of the hundreds of slices of pizza I have eaten in my lifetime (NOT an exaggeration), I always find myself gravitating towards to Margherita slices. The tasty simplicity of the pizza really allows the good quality of the ingredients use to truly shine. And that’s the secret. Make sure every ingredient you use is good quality and something that tastes delicious on it’s own.
Are all cauliflower crusts created equal?
Cauliflower products have become the “it” healthy food this year – and with good reason! Cauliflower has a ton of benefits including its inflammation-fighting abilities, decreases the risk for heart disease & provides high levels of vitamins and minerals. The best part (especially for those of us on the Keto diet), each 100 gram serving of cauli is only 3 grams net carbs!
Summer is officially here!
While I love the sun and the fun socializing that summer brings, what I don’t love is the potential weight gain…
It’s just a little too easy to start enjoying summer and forget all about your weight and health goals, particularly when those BBQs come out.
But the great thing about the keto diet is it’s so delicious that with a tiny bit of preplanning you can stick to your diet during all the fun times without feeling like you’re missing out.
The number one question I get about the Keto diet is the “What if I don’t eat…(insert food allergy or food aversion here)” questions. What if I don’t eat eggs? What if I don’t eat gluten? What if I don’t eat dairy? Can I still do Keto? Of course you can! But allergens, rightfully so, are at the forefront of people’s minds when they start a new diet. I try to help as much as possible but I don’t have the experience or extensive research to help every single person out.
I am personally dairy-free and gluten-free so I know the struggle. A LOT of recipes I have found in the keto diet are packed with heavy cream and cheese so finding recipes that fit my needs were a struggle.
