I think a big question is why do people fail on diets? And the answer tends to be their diet became too difficult or their diet became too boring.

Weight Loss

From February to May of this year, I have lost 28 lbs thanks to Keto. Since May, I have successfully kept the weight off & have noticed that I am having an easier time sticking to a diet. Which is saying a lot since I survived a typically carb-fueled summer!

I owe a lot of success to consistency which was helped by making sure I meal prepped weekly. I looked up recipes on Pinterest & finally broke down and bought these Tasteaholic e-books that had super easy to follow recipes (all only had 5 ingredients!) and that I knew were tested and worked with the keto diet. All recipes have 5 net grams of carbs or fewer, are easy to prep & taste great.

    1. Yup! You can set your own macros for muscle gains. Each recipe has the macros worked out for you so you can easily make a day of eating work for your goals!

  1. My macros have me set around 1275 calories a day. I’m only eating 15-20 carbs a day but keep going over my calories! I’m closer to 1900-2000/day! I am still losing weight though. Will the recipes keep my calories down? Should I even worry about the calories?

    1. Hi Rebecca, if you are still losing, maybe thats your body’s way of telling you your original macros are too low! I would definitely still pay attention to calories and macros, but set them for what you need and every few months change them as your body changes.

  2. Hi I am very interested in your weekly meal plans but I live in Switzerland and recipes generic enough for the products I will find here?

    1. Hi Andrew, I don’t think you will have a problem! Most of the recipes call for whole ingredients like avocado, fish, chicken, beef, butter, etc and easy to find veggies.

  3. Hi Lauren, hope all is well. I bought the books but am not sure if I can choose any meal from the books and follow the receipt, or else I need to select which receipts go together not to exceed the amount of fat and protein etc… thanks

    1. Hi Abigail, you can mix and match recipes as you’d like! Just make sure they match with your personal macros.

  4. Hi Lauren, I haven’t purchased the meal plans as of yet, my question is, my bf has high cholesterol is this keto plan ok for him to be on as well?

    1. Great question! I know some on keto have reduced their cholesterol after being on keto for a few months but DEFINITELY check with his doctor before starting anything!

  5. I am getting ready to purchase the Keto in Five bundle but need to understand what you mean by make sure “they match your personal macros”? Please tell me how to figure this out? I’m new to this!

    1. Hi Michelle, each recipe will have the macros worked out for you. I was saying to make sure they fit in with your personal fitness goals and macros. We all have different macros based on goals, lifestyle, etc so mix & match the recipes so they fit in with your personal daily intake, that’s all!

    1. Hi Sue, macros are your major nutrients that you eat everyday – fat, protein and carbs. Google ‘keto gains calculator’ and they will figure out your macros for you!

  6. Hi Lauren,
I’m just about to star my 3rd week on Keto and meal planning and prep takes an eternity 🙂
So I’m wondering if there is also an option to have the meal plan in metric system instead?
    Thanks! Annie

  7. Hi Lauren,
I want desperately to loose weight and so does my husband, however, his favorite thing to do is to go out to dinner! How can I do the Keto plan and still enjoy going out to dinner?

    Nita

    1. Hi Nita, keto is actually pretty easy when eating out! I stick to grilled or baked proteins like salmon, chicken or steak and eat it with a big side salad or veggies. Indian, Greek, and Middle Eastern foods are really easy to eat Keto with too!

    1. Hi Deb, I know people who have had their gallbladders removed have done keto, but definitely consult with your doctor first!

  8. Hi Lauren, I just signed up and I need help on how to figure out quantity. I need only 1050 calories according to my calculations. Your first week meal plan has it set at 1600 calories, how do I reduce the recipe or amount I am allowed?

    1. Hi Evi, those calories seem low for you to be eating in a day. But if you want to create your own macro and calorie goals, simply remove or add any recipes you like to fit into your goals.

  9. Hello! Im planning in getting the monthly plan but I have a question. My husband and I have different macros and goals. Will the weekly meal plan work for both?? Please advice.

    1. Hi there, every recipe has the macros already calculated for you, so you can add or subtract meals so they fit into your goals! Hope that helps!
